Kidder Township supervisors
Kidder Township conducted the following business this month.
• Conditional approval for lot improvement subdivisions were granted for subdivisions/land development for both Camptel Poconos and Leslie Mackey.
Maison Lodge LLC, owners of Camptel — Poconos, is proposing a lot improvement subdivision at 2624 State Route 534. The plans call for combining 12.1387 acres on three lots into one lot. It was noted that on two tax parcels of the plan there is an existing campground/RV park and restaurant. Parcel 3 is vacant land.
Leslie M. Mackey is proposing lot improvement at 52 Placid Lane, Holiday Pocono, Section C, Kidder Township. The plans call for creating one tax parcel out of two lots.
• The 2021 International Fire Code was adopted. The regulation is “to safeguard life and property from fires and explosive hazards.”
• The 2027 uniformed police pension MMO was approved in the amount of $295,448 and nonuniformed for $33,273.
•There were 318 calls to the police for July and 128 traffic citations were issued.
• During public comment, resident Cathryn Berger expressed concerns about the stormwater at Golden Oaks.
• John Ziminsky asked about restoring the old schoolhouse on Route 534 and noted that he would volunteer to help. Bids will be opened soon to get a new roof.
• The Lake Harmony Rescue Squad will be holding a meeting at the township building on Sept. 10 at 7 p.m. to discuss the ballot issue for November to increase millage rates for the local ambulance and rescue squad.
