Carbon County President Judge Roger N. Nanovic has sentenced a North Carolina man charged by local police in multiple crimes to serve up to five years in state prison.

Logan M. Loveless, 26, of Franklinton, pleaded guilty to fraud for altering/forging a vehicle title, registration or insurance.

He was charged on Sept. 3, 2023 by Summit Hill Police Officer Kodie R. Pituch.

Judge Nanovic sentenced him to serve three months to two years in state prison, with credit for 255 days served. The sentence is to be served at the same time as a sentence for his second incidence of driving under the influence of a controlled substance, and driving while his license was revoked.

In that case, he was charged by Lehighton State Trooper Charles P. Inserra on Aug. 30, 2023.

Loveless was also ordered to undergo a mental health evaluation, enroll in an outpatient treatment program, and to pay all court costs and fees.

Loveless was also charged by Summit Hill Police Officer Christopher P. Fischi with receiving stolen property on Nov. 17, 2023, and was sentenced to serve from nine months to two years in prison, to be served concurrently.

In yet another case, Loveless was charged by Nesquehoning Police Officer Corey R. Herring with two counts each of manufacture, delivery or intent to deliver a controlled substance and criminal use of a communication facility on April 4, 2025.

In that case, Judge Nanovic sentenced him to 16 months to five years in state prison. That sentence, too, is to be served concurrently with the others.

In a fifth case, Loveless was charged by Lehighton State Trooper Michael R. Sofranko with flight to avoid apprehension; DUI of a controlled substance, impaired ability, fourth offense; two counts of DUI of a controlled substance, Schedule 1 drug, fourth offense; possession of a controlled substance; possession of a small amount of marijuana; possession of drug paraphernalia; careless driving; reckless driving; disregarding traffic lanes; driving with a suspended license; and passing where prohibited on May 17, 2025.

He pleaded to the flight charges; all others were dismissed in the plea deal.

Judge Nanovic sentenced him to two months to two years in prison.
