Various officers and committee chairmen were named during the first monthly meeting of Lehigh Fire Company No. 1, Lehighton, for the Four-County Firemen’s Association convention to be held next summer in the community.

Fire Chief Corvin Solt named James Beisel to be the general chairman of the event that will be held in conjunction with the 100th anniversary of the founding of the borough.

Others named by Solt are Arthur Nothstein, assistant chairman; Kenneth Ashner, secretary; Russell Barry, treasurer; Norman Schneck, parade committee chairman; Norman Benner, banquet committee chairman; Stephen Tkach, hospitality chairman; George Hinkle, program chairman; and Police Chief Lee Walsh, traffic and security chairman.

The four-county association includes firemen from Carbon, Lehigh, Northampton, Monroe and Pike counties.
