Carbon Chamber opens award nominations

The Carbon Chamber & Economic Development Corporation is now accepting nominations for its 2026 annual awards, recognizing businesses, organizations and individuals whose leadership, service and impact continue to strengthen Carbon County.

Award recipients will be honored during CCEDC’s 2026 Annual Awards Gala, “A Night in Tuscany,” on Nov. 13 at Blue Mountain Resort, an evening dedicated to celebrating the people and organizations helping Carbon County grow, thrive and move forward.

“Our annual awards are one of my favorite opportunities to celebrate the people and organizations who consistently show up for Carbon County,” said Kylie Adams-Weiss, senior vice president of the Carbon Chamber & Economic Development Corporation. “There is so much great work happening throughout our communities, and we rely on our members, partners and residents to help us identify those who deserve to be recognized. If someone comes to mind, we hope you’ll take a few minutes to nominate them.”

Community members, Chamber members and partners are encouraged to submit nominations in the following categories: Business of the Year; Rookie Business of the Year; Tourism & Entertainment Business of the Year; Mike Harleman Arts & Entertainment Award; Volunteer of the Year; Young Professional of the Year; Economic Development Project; and the William H. Bayer Lifetime Achievement Award.

This year, CCEDC is expanding its annual awards program with three new categories designed to recognize additional forms of leadership, service and community impact.

The new categories are:

• Community Champion Business Award — Recognizing a business whose philanthropy, community involvement and leadership help make Carbon County a better place to live, work and do business.

• Member of the Year Award — Honoring a Chamber member who has demonstrated exceptional engagement, leadership, advocacy and support of Chamber programs and initiatives.

• Nonprofit of the Year Award — Celebrating a nonprofit organization whose mission, leadership and collaboration have created a meaningful and lasting impact in Carbon County.

“The expanded award lineup reflects CCEDC’s continued effort to recognize the many ways businesses, organizations and individuals contribute to the strength and vitality of the county,” Adams-Weiss added. “Every day we see new ways people are impacting our community in new and exciting ways, and we hope this expands the opportunities to highlight their efforts.”

Nominations will be reviewed by the CCEDC Awards Committee, with selected honorees recognized at the Annual Awards Gala later this year.
