An 18-year-old Allentown man died in a motorcycle-moped crash that happened about 1:34 p.m. Monday at the intersection of 25th and Hamilton streets, Allentown.

Lehigh County Coroner Daniel A. Buglio said the man, whose name has not yet been released, was pronounced dead at 2:11 p.m. in the emergency department of the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest Campus, Salisbury Township.

The coroner said the decedent was the operator of a motorcycle that was involved in the collision. No other details of the crash are available at this time.

Buglio said his name will not be released until Tuesday to allow time for the family to grieve.

In addition to the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office & Forensic Center, the Allentown Police Department Traffic Unit and the Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office are investigating the crash.
