Chestnuthill upgrades park bathrooms, adding pickleball

Chestnuthill supervisors have amended township park rules and regulations to remove outdated language and include regulations that dogs must be on a leash unless in the dog park.

The park’s bathrooms are currently being renovated following an audit in which they did not meet the standards for accessible turning radius and stall size.

In order to comply, the men’s restroom will be turned into the women’s room and vice versa. John Membrino will be doing the renovations, which are expected to be completed by Sept. 30.

Portable toilets are currently available near the restrooms. A state grant of $64,000 will pay for half of the renovations and part of the new pickleball courts.

In related business, Payment 1 was approved for $93,132 for Xavier Landscaping for the new pickleball courts, which should be completed within the next few weeks.
