Local residents were among nearly 1,900 students named to The University of Scranton’s dean’s list for the 2026 spring semester.

The dean’s list recognizes students for academic excellence. A student must have a grade-point average of 3.5 or better with a minimum number of credit hours during the semester to make the dean’s list. The list includes students from the Jesuit university’s College of Arts and Sciences, Kania School of Management and the Leahy College of Health Sciences.

Students include:

Jim Thorpe: Jack R. Olonovich, a senior mechanical engineering major in the university’s College of Arts and Sciences; Lauren N. Bos, a junior health promotion major in the university’s Leahy College of Health Sciences; Oleksa H. McAndrew, a junior occupational therapy major in the university’s Leahy College of Health Sciences.

Kunkletown: Emma A. Fugazzotto, a freshman nursing major in the university’s Leahy College of Health Sciences; Emily A. Frey a junior occupational therapy major in the university’s Leahy College of Health Sciences.

Lehighton: Lillian R. Stein a freshman cybercrime and homeland security major in the university’s College of Arts and Sciences.

Slatington: Emma E. Schultz, a junior early and primary teacher education major in the university’s College of Arts and Sciences.
