Crowded Kitchen Players presents “The Perfect Fit” at Between the Lines Studio Theatre, 725 N. 15th St., Allentown, from July 31 through Aug. 9.

Shows begin at 7:30 p.m. on July 31 and Aug. 1, 7 and 8; and 2 p.m. on Aug. 2 and 9.

Written and directed by Ara Barlieb, the play includes David “Oz” Oswald as Rory LaRue and Colin Core as Zach.

“The Perfect Fit,” is inspired by actual events that were unfolding in the Lehigh Valley 30 years ago when two regional filmmakers pursued Oscar-winning film and television star Jack Palance to play a leading role in their first feature-length picture. After years of trying unsuccessfully to raise funding for his first feature film, an aspiring young screenwriter, Zach McKenzie, is granted the rarest opportunity to meet with Hollywood legend, Rory LaRue, and try to interest him into taking on the leading role of his movie.

The cast includes: Colin Core, Danny Black, Trish Cipoletti, David ‘Oz’ Oswald and Pamela McLean Wallace.
