Jim Thorpe blanked Anthracite in a Panther Valley Little League tournament game on Monday.

Owen Hosier hit a home run, and three Jim Thorpe pitchers combined on a two-hit shutout during its 3-0 victory over Anthracite.

Hosier’s solo homer in the fourth extended the Thorpe advantage to 2-0.

Hosier, along with Bentley Heydt and Miles Smith, all pitched two scoreless innings for the winners. Hosier struck out two, and Smith fanned three.

Vincent Montefour added a hit, a walk and a run for Jim Thorpe, while Jagger McElmoyle delivered a double and an RBI. Julius Calcano also added a hit and knocked in a run.

Other Thorpe hits came from Eduardo Camacho, Liam Thompson and Jase Hollenbach.

Mason Pruitte also scored a run for the winners.

Collecting hits for Anthracite were Anthony Colancecco and Lucas Arndt.
