Walnutport Borough Council took the following action on Thursday:

• Agreed to sign authorization of service for 645 Lehigh Gap St. services in the amount of $16,400. Within the next 120 days, the borough will get bids on removing the barn, advance those costs, clean up the property, do some landscaping, then list the property for sale as is, and bring it up to code as it’s a historic district. If not, then the borough will have to go to court with a different proposal.

• Approved reimbursing Nancy George for paying the wrong garbage bill.

• Agreed to have Joel Gaumer removed from 2025 PC collections.

• Approved a trapping permit for Ronald Prutzman for the 2026-2027 season.

• Agreed to change the date of next month’s borough council meeting to Aug. 6.
