Whitewater Rafting Adventures of Nesquehoning and Carbon County Environmental Education Center offers a summer adventure perfect for families and groups who want to paddle, swim and splash down the river. The trip is set for 10:30 a.m. n July 19, meeting at WRA.

Following a safety briefing and bus ride, participants spend over three hours on the summer float section of the Lehigh, taking out in Bowmanstown before being bused back to the rafting center.

Rafters can bring a lunch, or purchase at WRA. A free post-trip hotdog cookout and hot showers available for all afterward.

Ages 8 and up are welcome to enjoy Class I rapids. Please no flip-flops or open back footwear. No alcohol or drug use permitted before or during the trip.

Registration is available by prepay only, with no walk-ins on day of event. Online registration, available at carboneec.org under “Events,” is open until July 17. Limited last minute reservations may be available by calling the rafting center at 570-669-9127.
