As part of the Palmerton Proud America250 celebration, the Concourse Club of Palmerton is sponsoring three Thursday evening patriotic band concerts. Held in the Palmerton Borough Park, each of the concerts will be from 7-8:30 p.m., weather permitting. This week’s concert will feature the Hazleton Band on Thursday, under the direction of John Zehner.

“Historically, the summer concerts in the park were held on Thursday evenings featuring the Palmerton Band,” stated Concourse Club Bandstand Committee co-chair Joann Kercsmar. “We wanted to bring back this tradition to help the community celebrate America250.”

Other Thursday concerts are: July 16, The Galena Brass Band, and July 23, The Ringgold Band.

The concerts are free.

The club encourages the community to come out and enjoy an evening in the beautiful borough park and listen to live music. The Concourse Club reserves the right to cancel due to inclement weather. All cancellations will appear on the club’s Facebook page.
