Millery Symphony Hall to hold special shows
The Allentown Symphony Association announced four special presentations for the 2026-2027 season, bringing a diverse array of artists and experiences to Miller Symphony Hall.
The lineup includes a special Halloween screening of the silent film classic The Phantom of the Opera with live organ accompaniment by acclaimed organist Dennis James; a performance by the legendary Canadian Brass; Rick Steves’ Europe: A Symphonic Journey with the Allentown Band; and Portrait of Aretha, a tribute to the music and legacy of Aretha Franklin starring award-winning vocalist CeCe Teneal.
While these performances do not feature the Allentown Symphony Orchestra, they reflect the Association’s ongoing commitment to presenting a broad range of exceptional experiences and expanding cultural offerings for Lehigh Valley audiences.
“I can’t wait for Canadian Brass and Portrait of Aretha to be back onstage at Miller Symphony Hall,” said Al Jacobsen, executive director of the Allentown Symphony Association. “And we are pairing those alongside two concerts that have wonderful visual elements — a classic silent film in October and a breathtaking video of European vistas arranged by none other than Rick Steves. The Allentown Band will take audiences on quite the journey without them leaving their seats!”
Tickets for all four special presentations are on sale now.
