State police at the Fogelsville barracks reported the following incidents:
• A 96-year-old woman from Friedens Road, Washington Township, Slatington, is the victim of a theft incident police were called to investigate at 1:19 p.m. June 16.
Police received a report that an individual sold firearms that they did not own nor have permission to sell.
• Police said a man and woman from Orefield, both 70, are the victims of terroristic threats at 1:54 p.m. June 18 on Christmas Tree Drive, Lowhill Township.
Police were dispatched to the scene after an anonymous person made a call that he had two hostages and pipe bombs at the property. The caller used a voice changer, saying the pipe bomb was on a timer.
Police made contact with the homeowners, who said that no such incident was taking place at their residence. No bomb was found and the home was cleared.
No leads or motives were discovered why the “swatting” call would have been placed.
