State police at Fern Ridge

State police at the Fern Ridge barracks reported the following incidents:

• Frederick Speece, 71, of Effort, and Ann Davis, 50, of Stroudsburg, were cited for harassment by communications after police were called to a neighborhood dispute at 2:56 p.m. June 25 on the 1100 block of Gum Road, Chestnuthill Township.

Police said they engaged in a verbal altercation with each other.

• A 53-year-old Saylorsburg man is the victim of a theft incident police were called to on June 11 on Jonas Court, Chestnuthill Township.

He told police he was landscaping a client’s property when he went to the backyard to weed whack while his trailer with tools was parked in the driveway. A Stihl leaf blower worth $800 was stolen from the trailer between 4:30 and 5 p.m.

• Alisha Agliata, 35, and John Meckes, 35, both of Effort, were cited for retail theft (shoplifting) after police were called to the Shop Rita store on Kinsley Drive, Chestnuthill Township.

It is alleged they were caught stealing $93.16 worth of food items between May 10 and 12:16 p.m. June 20.

• Police were summoned to Chestnut Lake Road, Chestnuthill Township on May 30 for a report of a death.

They said between 1:30 and 6:49 a.m. a 61-year-old man from Holland, was discovered deceased in his camper. The death was due to natural causes, police said.
