A man has been charged with attempted homicide after a shooting early Sunday morning in Towamensing Township.
State Police in Lehighton said troopers were called to Lakeside Drive at 6:30 a.m. Sunday for a report of a man with a gunshot wound.
Through investigation, it was determined that two men engaged in an argument resulting in the suspect discharging his firearm.
Police said David Wilson Munro, 44, was taken into custody. He was charged with attempted homicide, aggravated assault and other related charges through District Court 56-3-02, Magisterial District Judge Kissner. He was arraigned, bail denied and taken at the Carbon County Correctional Facility.
The victim was taken to a hospital.
The Troop N Lehighton Criminal Investigation Unit in conjunction with the Carbon County District Attorney’s Office are investigating.
