State police at Lehighton

State police at the Lehighton barracks reported the following incidents:

• Police were called to a theft incident on Dotter’s Corner Road, Polk Township.

A 40-year-old woman from Kunkletown reported that sometime on June 12 or 13 surveying flags/pins/markers were removed and stolen from the wooded tract adjacent to her residence.

• A 37-year-old Lehighton man was cited for harassment by physical contact after police responded to a domestic incident at 5:47 p.m. on June 19 on Lower Nis Hollow Drive, East Penn Township.

Police said that an 87-year-old man from Lehighton reported that the incident turned physical.

• A 36-year-old Lehighton woman was charged with retail theft (shoplifting) after police were called to the Walmart store, Blakeslee Boulevard Drive East, Mahoning Township, at 6:30 p.m. on June 20.

Police said she attempted to steal $79 worth of merchandise and was caught by the store’s prevention personnel.

• Police said a 45-year-old Lehighton woman is the victim of a Protection From Abuse court order violation that took place at 7:26 p.m. on June 20.

It occurred at her place of employment, the Giant Food Store, Blakeslee Boulevard Drive East, Mahoning Township.

Police said her ex-boyfriend, who she has the order against, showed up at her workplace.
