CCTI committee re-elects treasurer

The Joint Operating Committee of the Carbon Career & Technical Institute, Jim Thorpe, held nominations for the treasurer position, one that is re-elected each year.

Jeffrey Deutsch, who has been the business manager for the school and treasurer for the JOC for the past 30 years was the sole nominee, and was re-elected to the position.

Deutsch also took a moment to publicly thank Business Office Assistant Lisa Zurn who will be retiring at the end of the month.

“She has a work ethic second to none,” Deutsch exclaimed. “Her main function was payroll, of course, but she also did a lot of the importing for the financial information system, and random various financial reports from our system.”

He thanked her on behalf of himself and the school, and wished her the best.
