Education/Training: Kirsten Finch earned a master’s degree in occupational therapy from Gannon University. She became a certified lymphatic therapist through Academy of Lymphatic Studies and holds both an Advanced Lymphedema Management certification and Lymphology Association of North America board certification.

Services offered: Kirsten Finch offers a variety of lymphedema therapies designed to reduce swelling and improve quality of life. Types of care include manual lymphatic drainage, short-stretch bandaging, compression fitting and scar management.
Conditions treated: She cares for patients with a variety of upper extremity diagnoses, along with lymphedema and lipedema.
Lymphedema is tissue swelling caused by an accumulation of protein-rich fluid which is usually drained through the body’s lymphatic system. It can be caused by venous insufficiency, obesity, traumatic injury and cancer treatments such as chemotherapy, lymph node removal and radiation therapy.
What you should know: Rehabilitation Services–Carbon offers many different therapies such as orthopedic physical therapy, hand therapy, pelvic therapy and lymphedema therapy.
