Towamensing Township’s June supervisors meeting was a brief one, with the following business conducted:
• Authorization was given by the solicitor to send the proposed zoning ordinance for data centers to the planning commission for review.
• Sunrise Lehighton Group/Lakeside Self Storage builder Tony Luongo from Brecknock Builders presented changes to remove the on-lot septic and water. He was advised to apply for conditional use for modification.
• Final plan approval was given to the Noah Schaeffer subdivision.
• The renovations of the Greenzweig schoolhouse continue to move along. One coat of paint was finished in the interior walls and ceiling. A new door was installed. Flower beds are getting put in and painting should be finished within a week or two.
• The township crew is patching and mowing shoulders. They will be getting a price for township line painting.
• Resident Jim Gillen expressed concern about a person with a camper on Hazelwood Road.
