The Lutheran Church of St. John in-the-Heights, 319 South Ave. in Jim Thorpe will be holding its annual free clothing giveaway ministry beginning Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Saturday start gives those who are unable to attend during the week the opportunity to take advantage of the items available.

Additional dates and times are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through next Wednesday.

St. John’s has provided this worthwhile clothing ministry for almost 30 years. Volunteers have been busy in the last few weeks receiving, sorting, sizing and arranging the items by category to make “shopping” easier for those in attendance. Available this year is a nice variety of children’s, men’s and women’s clothing and outerwear along with shoes and boots, school supplies and domestic linens such as bedding and curtains. There is also a variety of miscellaneous items to choose from.
