Northern Lehigh School Board took the following action on Monday:

Curriculum and instruction

• Renewed the Read 180 and Math 180 service contract for students with special needs, for the 2026-27 school year at cost not to exceed $17,440, to be funded through Medical Access.

• Affiliation agreement between the Northern Lehigh School District and Lehigh University. This program allows students at Lehigh University to complete their practicum in the NLSD in order to fulfill their graduation requirements. This agreement will terminate June 30, 2027.

Student rep, clubs

• Leah Cudzil, as student representative to the board for the 2026-27 school year. She has been appointed as the junior representative to the board and will serve from September 2026 through June 2027. Madilynn Husack will serve as the senior student representative to the board until June 2027.

• Final club/activity application for the Northern Lehigh High School Choir. The Northern Lehigh Education Association’s recommended stipend for the adviser, George Hegedus, is to be $800 beginning with the 2026-27 school year. Upon approval by the board, the approved stipend will be added to the Collective Bargaining Agreement, as per policy No. 122.

• Final club/activity application for the Northern Lehigh High School Guitar Club. The Northern Lehigh Education Association’s recommended stipend for the adviser, George Hegedus, to be $800 beginning with the 2026-27 school year. Upon approval by the board, the approved stipend will be added to the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Agreements

• To execute the first amendment to school and community health needs agreement between the Northern Lehigh School District and St. Luke’s Hospital of Bethlehem.

• Approved the letter of agreement with Christmas City Studios for the 2026-27 school year for student picture and yearbook services.
