State police at Frackville

State police at the Frackville barracks reported the following incidents:

• Police charged a 14-year-old Delano boy and a 15-year-old Mahanoy City boy with criminal mischief after they were called to an incident at 7:43 p.m. on May 9 on Industrial Park Road, Delano Township.

They responded to a trespassing report and found a wooden bridge was damaged on the property. The estimated damage was $150.

• A 69-year-old Tuscarora man is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol following an incident at 7:58 p.m. on May 18 at the intersection of Sanderson and South Main Street, Schuylkill Township.

Police said he was stopped in a 1998 Ford Windstar for driving in an erratic manner.

• A 57-year-old New Philadelphia woman is the victim of a theft reported at 5:36 p.m. on May 21 on Valley Street in that borough.

She told police someone removed three gold diamond rings and 15 miscellaneous coins from her jewelry armoire, which was in the living room of her residence.

• Police received a report of suspected child abuse involving a 5-year-old Tamaqua boy.

The report indicated the incident took place at 7 p.m. on May 23 on Cherry Street in Coplay Borough, Lehigh County.

• Police are investigating a theft that was reported at 12:54 p.m. on May 21 on Bobb Alley, Blythe Township.

A 35-year-old man from Bethlehem told police that his Samsung Galaxy A21 mobile phone was stolen.

• Kyle Long, 38, of Cumbola, is facing charges of scattering rubbish.

Police said he approached a trooper at 1:34 p.m. on May 21 and told him that he was responsible for dumping household trash off the roadway of Ponderosa Road, north of Valley Street, Blythe Township, around 3 p.m. on May 14.

Long was cited after the police arrived at the scene and discovered various household items scattered off the roadway.

• Police are investigating the theft of 1,060 feet of 19-gauge wire from a pole at a property on Old 209 Road, Schuylkill Township.

Police said the theft was discovered at 9:56 a.m. on May 26 on Verizon property.

• Makaila Allen, 20, of Philadelphia, was cited for retail theft (shoplifting) after police were called to the Walmart store, 35 Plaza Drive, Rush Township (Hometown), at 2:15 p.m. on May 31.

Police said that she was caught “under-ringing” $47.86 worth of merchandise during checkout.

• Police are investigating a harassment by physical contact incident at the State Correctional Institute at Frackville, Altamont Boulevard, Ryan Township.

They received the report of the incident having happened on Jan. 19, 2024.

The investigation is in accordance with the Prison Rape Elimination Act.
