State police at Schuylkill Haven - crashes
State police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks reported the following crashes:
• Kati L. McKee, 21, of Lansford, had suspected minor injuries after a one-car crash at 9:57 a.m. on May 24 on Brick Hill Road, West Brunswick Township.
Police said she did not require an emergency medical services transport from the scene. Three passengers, Ciara M. McKee, 20, of Tamaqua, a 3-year-old girl and an infant girl, both of Lansford, were uninjured.
Police said Kati McKee was operating a 2016 Kia Sedona southbound when she lost control of it and it entered the northbound lane, reentered the southbound land, continued along the west shoulder of the road, spun and hit a utility pole.
The minivan had disabling damage and was towed from the scene.
Kati McKee was cited for failure to drive at a safe speed, according to police.
• Jessamine A. Crosland, 27, of New Ringgold, was cited after a two-vehicle crash at 5:21 p.m. on May 2 at the intersection of Chestnut Road and Pine Creek Drive, West Brunswick Township. No one was hurt in the incident.
Police said she was driving a 2023 Kia that attempted to gain entry to Chestnut Road from Pine Creek Drive without having proper clearance, at which time it struck a 2018 Ford Escape driven westbound on Chestnut Road by Sandra J. Yemm, 79, of Schuylkill Haven.
Police said the Escape had disabling damage, while the Kia had minor damage.
• No one was injured in a two-vehicle crash at 5:57 p.m. on April 10 in West Brunswick Township.
Police said the crash occurred when a 16-year-old girl from Schuylkill Haven was driving a 2018 Chevrolet Equinox that failed to yield the right of way while making a left turn from Route 895 onto Route 61, striking a 2007 Ford Focus that was crossing the intersection.
Police said both vehicles had disabling damage and were towed from the scene.
The girl was cited after the crash, according to police.
