The Weatherly School Board voted to approve the Cooperative Sports Agreement with the Hazleton Area School District for eligible Weatherly Area School District students to participate in HASD varsity/junior varsity boys football beginning in the 2026-2027 school year.

“Scott (Zoscin) has talked to PIAA, so that’s in motion,” Dr. Robert Croop, Weatherly Superintendent, said. “They’ve given us the go-ahead. If the board gives us the go-ahead to meet with our students to make sure this information gets out, then they will make it official.”

“District 2 meeting is in a week, it’s on their agenda to be approved,” Zoscin pointed out. “District 11 meeting is June 10 for approval. I contacted the District 11 chairman, and he gave us permission to start conditioning with Hazleton now.”
