Three family members from Salisbury, Maryland, were injured in a physical confrontation that occurred on Adirondack Drive, Chestnuthill Township, at 10:07 p.m. May 10, state police at the Fern Ridge barracks said.
The three had non-life threatening injuries and were transported to an area hospital for treatment.
Police said they were summoned to the St. Luke’s Hospital, Monroe Campus, Stroudsburg, for a report of a suspected assault.
It was determined the three, a 45-year-old woman, a 24-year-old woman and a 15-year-old boy, came to the area for a Mother’s Day celebration with family, police said. They told police an argument turned into a physical confrontation that required multiple family members’ intervention to break it up.
Police said the three declined to cooperated with the investigation or to provide further information regarding the incident, resulting in police not filing criminal charges in the matter.
