Jaxx Murphy’s fielder’s choice RBI in the bottom of the eighth inning lifted East Stroudsburg to a 10-9 win over visiting Jim Thorpe.
In a game that involved five different lead changes, it was the hosts that made the most of the last one in extras. AJ Yurescko led off the bottom of the eighth with a single. Jayson Strouse grounded into a fielder’s choice and eventually scored the game-winning run with two outs.
The Olympians took a 3-1 lead in the fifth inning and dug themselves out of a five-run deficit to take a one-run lead (9-8) into the top of the seventh inning.
Liam Cunningham was East Stroudsburg’s lone player with multiple hits, as their leadoff hitter finished with two singles, two runs scored and an RBI.
Jionni Paddu paced JT with a single, double, a run scored and two RBIs, while Daniel Off followed with two singles, a walk, a run scored and two RBIs.
Teammate Ezra Krout chipped in with multiple hits, as he ended up with two singles, a run scored and an RBI.

FBT Gray-Palmerton
Brody Mertz’s three hit day wasn’t enough, as Palmerton dropped a 4-1 setback to visiting FBT Gray.
Mertz, the Bombers’ No. 5 hitter, reached base in all three of his at-bats. Mertz singled in each of the second, fourth and seventh innings.
Teammate Cade Serfass accounted for the team’s lone run in the bottom of the fourth. Serfass led off the inning with a single, and later scored on a throwing error by the visitors when Walter Haas reached on the miscue.
Jayden Tirado led the way for FBT Gray, as the leadoff hitter finished with two singles, a run scored and an RBI.
Teammate Jacob Bauman chipped in with two singles and a run scored.

Lehigh Blue remains unbeaten in the regular season, as the visitors knocked off Northern Valley for a 16-0 win.
Coltin Brozino paced Lehigh Blue with a double, a walk, two runs scored and three RBIs.
Teammate Miguel Medina finished with two walks, a single, a run scored and two RBIs.
Mason M. accounted for the Chargers’ lone hit, as the leadoff hitter recorded a single in the bottom of the third inning.

Northern Lehigh and Silver Creek ended in a 3-3 tie in Lehigh Valley Junior Connie Mack action.
After trailing 2-0 through four innings of play, Northern Lehigh got on the board thanks to Jude Paukovits’ fielder’s choice RBI, which scored Chase Roberts. Roberts led off the inning with a free pass after he was hit by a pitch.
Teammate Jackson Fahringer reached base on a fielding error, which allowed both Paukovits and Brayden Pieffer to score on the play.
Silver Creek tied the game in the top of the seventh on Ben Roberts’ fielder’s choice RBI.
