State police at the Lehighton barracks reported the following crashes:

• Margaret R. Connor, 90, of Lehighton, and Nora A. Ahmed, 30, of Stroudsburg, were injured in a two-vehicle crash at 2:38 p.m. May 20 on Interchange Road, Towamensing Township.

Police said they were transported by personnel from the Lehighton and Palmerton ambulance corps to the St. Luke’s Hospital, Carbon Campus, Franklin Township. They said the severities of their injuries are unknown.

The crash occurred when Connor was driving a 2012 Kia Rio that stuck the back of a 2019 Honda Civic driven by Ahmed, police said. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.

Connor was cited for following too closely, according to police.

• Aaron B. Cox, 23, of Palmerton, and a 17-year-old girl from Kunkletown were injured in a two-vehicle crash at 6:11 p.m. May 18 at the intersection of Interchange and Trachsville Hill roads, Towamensing Township.

Police said the two were transported by personnel from the St. Luke’s Hospital, Carbon Campus, Franklin Township, by the Palmerton and Lehighton ambulances, respectively.

They said the incident occurred when Cox was riding a 2022 Harley-Davidson that entered the intersection after he failed to obey a posted stop sign and struck the side of a northbound 2004 Toyota Avalon driven on Interchange Road by the girl.

Police said Cox was partially thrown from the motorcycle, which left the roadway and came to rest on a grass shoulder.

Police said both vehicles were towed from the scene.

Cox was cited after the crash, according to police.

• A 2007 BMW 335i was towed from the scene of a crash involving a deer at 8:55 p.m. May 14 on Mountain Woods Road, Ross Township, police said.

Police did not identify the driver of the car, which was southbound about a quarter-mile north of Evergreen Court when the driver swerved to avoid striking a deer that had jumped onto the road.

The car went off the west side of the road and struck a tree, police said.

• Delilah Rodriguez, 46, of Jim Thorpe, and a 2-year-old boy from Kunkletown had suspected minor injuries after a three-vehicle crash at 12:21 p.m. May 10 on Burger Hollow Road, Polk Township.

Police said they were transported by personnel from the Lehigh Valley Health Network MedEvac to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Pocono Campus, East Stroudsburg.

They said the crash occurred when Rodriguez was operating a 2017 Kia Soul that entered the intersection with Greenhill Road without proper clearance and hit a 2012 Jeep Compass operated by Sean T. McAndrew, 46, of Kunkletown. The boy was a passenger in the Compass.

Police said both vehicles then struck a 2026 Lincoln Corsair driven by James Hendricks, 57, of Kunkletown, that was stopped in the southbound lane of Burger Hollow Road.

Police said Rodriguez was found to be in possession of a THC vape pen and admitted to drug use. She was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of a controlled substance.
