Fred R. Collins of Pasadena, California, will assume pastoral duties at the Covenant Parish, according to Robert McCombs, chairman of the parish’s pastoral relations committee.

Collins and his wife, Nancy, are from the Allentown area. He received a bachelor’s degree from Pennsylvania State University in 1976 and later attended the Moravian Seminary, Bethlehem.

They will reside in Parryville, where he will serve the Wesley Methodist Church, Lehighton, the Parryville Methodist Church and St. John’s Methodist Church, Bowmanstown.

John Lynch, the present pastor, is being reassigned to the Cherry Valley churches in the Stroudsburg area.
