Soley and Wreckers hurler Barry Whipple find themselves in a scoreless pitcher’s duel until the Colts break through in the fifth inning. Gary Grant singles, steals second and scores on a hit by Jack Bargilione. The winners, coached by Pat Morgans, break the game open in the sixth with five runs. Grant delivers a two-run single during the frame, while Ron Carulli adds an RBI double. Bob Miller finishes with three hits for Marian.
