Northern Lehigh School Board approved the following matters last week:

Curriculum and Instruction

• Purchase of Pearson Elementary Statistics, at a cost of $5,184, to be funded through the educational technology, curriculum and instruction budget.

• Purchase of Biozone: Chemistry Explained for high school AP Chemistry, at a cost not to exceed $1,200, to be funded through the educational technology, curriculum and instruction budget.

• Tina Yocum, mentor, for Chanel Diaz, new employee, at a stipend of $200, in accordance with the Northern Lehigh White-Collar Education Support Professionals’ Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Policy

• Initial club/activity application for the Northern Lehigh High School Choir Club. The Northern Lehigh Education Association recommended stipend for the adviser of this club, George Hegedus, is $200 for the 2025-2026 school year, with the stipend to be added to the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Conferences

• Sidney Snyder, Gifted Venture Summer Institute, Aug. 4-6, State College, registration $50, mileage $228, and meals $60, for a total cost of about $338, to be funded through the building level gifted budget.

• Katie Cappuccino, Taft Educational Center 2026 AP Chemistry Summer Institute, July 6-16, Watertown, Connecticut, lodging $800, mileage $290, for a total cost of about $1,090, to be funded through the high school professional development budget.
