A Schuylkill County woman died in a utility terrain vehicle crash that happened around 9:30 a.m. Sunday in New Castle Township, state police said.

According to police, Rebecca Ellen Miller, 57, of Tremont, was pronounced deceased by members of the Schuylkill County Coroner’s office.

Troopers were called to the incident at the Famous Reading Outdoors property off Darkwater Road. Through the investigation, it was learned that a 36-year-old man was driving a 2024 Honda Talon UTV with three passengers when he lost control and the vehicle overturned.

The operator was flown from the scene and was in critical condition.

The two other passengers, a 15-year-old girl and a 59-year-old woman, were taken to local hospitals for injuries. Both are in stable condition.

State police are continuing their investigation and were assisted by the Troop N Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit, Troop L Forensic Services Unit, the county coroner’s office and local emergency responders.
