State police at the Fern Ridge barracks reported the following incidents:
• A 19-year-old man from Collegeville was cited for retail theft (shoplifting) after police were called to the ShopRite store, Kinsley Drive, Chestnuthill Township, at 10:48 p.m. May 8.
Police said it was determined that he “forgot to pay for two items” valued at $14.99.
• A 26-year-old Albrightsville man in the victim of a theft incident police responded to at 8:55 p.m. April 13 on Sycamore Circle, Penn Forest Township.
He told police he was messaging on the Tinder app when he was scammed out of $600.
• Joseph Hernandez, 27, of Passaic, New Jersey, is facing drug possession charges after police made a traffic stop at 10:03 a.m. April 12.
Police said he was cited after they stopped a 2015 Honda Accord for summary violations on Interstate 80, Kidder Township, after which Hernandez, who was a front seat passenger, was found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana.
Police said they learned there was also a warrant out for his arrest. He was taken into custody and transported to the Carbon County Correctional Facility, Nesquehoning, where he was awaiting extradition.
