A 51-year-old New Tripoli man is the victim of a theft by disposition of funds incident.

State police at the Fogelsville barracks said that between May 2 and 11, someone obtained a check belonging to the resident of Diamond Drive, Lynn Township, that was mailed from a post office.

The name on the check was altered and the check was then deposited, police said.

The amount of the check was not listed on the police incident report.

An investigation into the incident is continuing.
