Neffs Bank gives $100,000 to community
The Neffs National Bank presented $100,000 in donations to eight local educational foundations.
The donations will help fund essential educational programs to benefit the youth of our local community. The selected foundations are Northern Lehigh School District Education Foundation; Parkland School District Education Foundation; Northwestern Lehigh Educational Foundation Inc.; Wildlands Conservancy Inc.; Wildlife Information Center Inc.; Circle of Seasons Foundation Inc.; The Lehigh Valley Zoological Society; and The Parkland Community Library.
Donations were made through The Neffs National Bank’s participation in the state’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program. The program authorizes tax credits for contributions to Educational Improvement Organizations and allows the bank to earmark their taxes to support these programs.
Since the bank began its participation in the EITC program, it has contributed $1,400,000 to various educational foundations.
Kevin Schmidt, president/CEO of The Neffs National Bank, said, “These organizations are continuing to face uncertain times with increased budget constraints and the need to reengineer their education programs. I would encourage local businesses to support these organizations either directly or through participation in the EITC program.”
The Neffs National Bank, a subsidiary of Neffs Bancorp Inc., is committed to serving the financial needs of our clients and local communities with high quality customer focused service and maximizing long-term shareholder value.
