State police at the Frackville barracks reported the following incidents:

• Police were called to the State Correctional Institute at Mahanoy, Mahanoy Township, to investigate two incidents.

At 1:54 p.m. April 29, police said an inmate made a sexual assault allegation against another inmate.

At 6:61 p.m. May 7, a 26-year-old inmate reported he was the victim of a harassment by physical contact incident when another inmate assaulted him.

• Police were called to a reported death in the 600 block of State Road, Ryan Township.

A 68-year-old Barnesville man died of natural causes between noon April 16 and 4:58 p.m. May 4 at a single-family residence, according to police.

• Police said a 60-year-old woman from Tamaqua is the victim of a Protection From Abuse violation that occurred at 7:11 p.m. April 13.

The incident took place on Ben Titus Road, Rush Township.

• Police are investigating a theft by deception incident that resulted in the arrest of a 42-year-old man from Brooklyn, New York.

They said a 68-year-old woman from Pine Street, Blythe Township (Kaska) reported at 4:51 p.m. April 2 that she was the victim of a scam.
