State police at the Lehighton barracks reported the following incidents:
• Matther Hammerstone, 39, of Nanticoke, is facing drug possession charge after a traffic stop at 6:15 p.m. on April 22.
Police said Hammerstone was stopped in a 2003 Jeep Liberty near the intersection of Little Gap and Covered Bridge roads in Lower Towamensing Township and found to be in possession of a controlled substance.
There was also an active arrest warrant out against him in Northampton County, according to police.
• Zachariah Zern, 48, of Lehighton, was cited for harassment by physical contact after police were called to a physical altercation at 7:35 p.m. on April 27 on Orioles Drive, Mahoning Township.
Police said the victim is a 65-year-old man from Lehighton.
• Police have labeled a case where dead animals were left on a property a matter of “harassment with no legitimate purpose.”
They were called to Stagecoach Road West, Towamensing Township, at 1:30 p.m. on April 29 after a 58-year-old man and a 50-year-old woman, both from Palmerton, reported dead animals were being left on their lawn.
