Northwestern’s girls lacrosse team reached double digits in wins by defeating Moravian Academy on Friday.

Cali Colistra scored six goals and Olivia Fagan added four as Northwestern routed winless Moravian Academy, 21-9.
The Tigers built a 12-4 advantage at halftime. Ella Schmidt, Amanda Breidinger, and Ella Collins each tallied a pair of goals.
Colistra, Fagan and Mykaela Yanders each added two assists.

BASEBALL
Pleasant Valley-Phillipsburg
Phillipsburg (NJ) scored the winning run on an error, and the Slateliners pushed past Pleasant Valley 7-6 in non-league play.
The Bears rallied to tie the game at 6-6 in the top of the seventh on Gavin Bates’ single and an error. Bates added a double, and Braydon Green also had two hits for PV.
Jake Loch had the other RBI for Pleasant Valley, which posted four unearned runs.
The Bears’ Sam Smale relieved Ty Borger in the second, and allowed five hits, three runs (one earned), struck out three and walked none.
Jacob George stole two of Pleasant Valley’s four bases.

Executive Education plated five runs in the top of the sixth inning to break a tie game and aid a 9-1 non-league win over Weatherly.
The Wreckers opened the scoring in the second off an error, and Executive Education tied the game at 1-1 in the fifth. The Raptors added three runs in the top of the seventh.
Raymond Montz, who started the game, Niko Suarez, Emilio Valenzuela, Jeremiah Dondi, and Bradlee Connors each collected a hit for Weatherly, which dropped its seventh straight.

Weatherly-Tri-Valley
Tri-Valley erupted for 12 runs in the top of the third inning, and the Bulldogs cruised to a shortened 16-0 no-hit Schuylkill League victory over Weatherly.
Myah Schwalm and Amber Lettich combined for seven strikeouts in the three-inning no-hitter as the Bulldogs won their eighth straight with a 16-hit attack.

Marian-Lehighton
Lehighton plated two runs in the top of the sixth inning and held off Marian, 3-2, to snap a seven-game losing streak in the regular-season finale for both clubs Thursday.
Sophia Wise laced an RBI triple, and Peyton Hausman followed with an RBI single that pushed Lehighton ahead, 3-1, in the sixth. Wise went 3-for-3 with two RBIs.
In the top of the seventh, Malina Lecher hit a solo homer to close the gap, but the Fillies’ rally ended. Lechter earlier had a sacrifice fly to score Marian’s first run.
Hausman picked up the win for Lehighton, going all seven innings, allowing three hits with five strikeouts and two walks.
Kayla Birrer went six innings for Marian, scattering six hits with two strikeouts and one walk.

TRACK AND FIELD
Colonial/EPC Championships
Northwestern’s Jossalin Romanot and Palmerton’s Rylee Roman each earned runner-up finishes in the girls pole vault Thursday as postponed events from the Colonial League Track and Field Championships were completed.
Romanot and Roman both cleared 8-9 to tie for second place behind Southern Lehigh’s Mia Stanten, who won the event at 9-0.
Roman and Romanot each cleared 8-9 on their third attempt.
In the boys pole vault, Palmerton’s Jacob Walkowiak placed fifth after clearing 12-0, while Northwestern’s Ethan Kaschak finished eighth at 11-6.
