State police at Fern Ridge - crashes

State police at the Fern Ridge barracks reported the following crashes:

• Three people were transported to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Pocono Campus, East Stroudsburg, after a two-vehicle crash at 9:23 p.m. on April 18 at the intersection of Route 115 and Astolat Road, Chestnuthill Township.

Police said that Patrick J. Murphy, 33, and a 2-year-old boy, both from Blakeslee, and Richard Casanova, 65, of Albrightsville, were transported by personnel from the West End Ambulance Service. They said the trio had suspected minor injuries.

Police said the crash occurred as Murphy was driving a 2017 Subaru Crosstrek south on Route 115 when it entered the northbound lane and struck a 2023 Chevrolet Trail Blazer head-on driven by Casanova.

Police said both vehicles were towed from the scene.

Murphy was cited after the crash, according to police.

• Estevanna Gonzalez, 38, of Galatia, Illinois, was injured in a one-vehicle crash at 9:47 a.m. on April 27 on Route 903 in Penn Forest Township.

A passenger in the vehicle, she was transported by personnel from the Lehighton Ambulance Association to the St. Luke’s Hospital, Carbon Campus, Franklin Township.

Police said the incident occurred as Kenny Ampracha, 23, of Carbondale, Illinois, was driving a 2023 Buick Enclave south when it entered the northbound lane, left the roadway, traveled onto the shoulder and struck a boulder. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

Ampracha and a second passenger were uninjured.

Ampracha was cited after the crash, according to police.

• Danella Ospina, 29, of Hazleton, was cited after a one-vehicle crash at 8:46 a.m. on April 23 on Interstate 80 in White Haven. She was uninjured in the incident.

Police said she was driving a 2012 Honda CRV eastbound when it went out of control and drifted onto the left shoulder of the highway and struck a concrete divider.

It had disabling damage and was towed from the scene.

• Justin C. Angelino, 32, of Tunkhannock, was uninjured in a one-vehicle crash at 1:50 p.m. on April 13 on Interstate 80 in Kidder Township.

Police said he was driving a 2007 Ford Taurus eastbound when it went out of control and traveled onto the right shoulder of the highway and hit a guide rail. The car had heavy front-end damage and was towed from the scene.

• No one was hurt in a two-vehicle crash at 7:12 p.m. on April 14 on Route 115 in Chestnuthill Township.

Police said the crash occurred when a 17-year-old boy from Effort was driving a 2016 Ford Fusion northbound and failed to stop for traffic ahead of him that had slowed, striking a 2019 Ford F-350 operated by Michael A. Armstrong, 42, of Effort. Police said the Fusion had disabling damage and was towed from the scene, while the F-350 had minor damage.

• Injuries were averted in a two-vehicle crash at 6:32 p.m. on April 22 on Route 209 in Chestnuthill Township. Police said the crash occurred when Virginia K. Circelli, 71, of East Stroudsburg, was driving a 2009 Mitsubishi Galant that turned in front of a vehicle that was southbound, after which the vehicle hit the Galant in the rear bumper.

The second vehicle left the scene, police said. Police said the Galant had functional damage.
