State police at the Pocono barracks reported the following crashes that occurred on the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike:

• A 2021 Volkswagen Atlas was towed after striking a deer at 10:30 p.m. April 29 at mile marker 89.6 in Kidder Township.

Police did not identify the driver, who was southbound. They said the driver, who was uninjured, drove about 5 miles to the Hickory Run Service Plaza, where he elected to have the vehicle towed.

• Police said a 2025 Kia Sorento traveling south ran out of gas inside the Lehigh Tunnel in Washington Township at 6:01 p.m. April 27.

They said an emergency tow truck from the turnpike pushed the vehicle through the tunnel and struck the Sorento hard enough in the back to damage both vehicles, but they were driven from the scene.

• Issamar Lopez, 32, of Philadelphia, had suspected serious injuries after a one-vehicle crash at 2 p.m. April 25 at mile marker 83 in Penn Forest Township.

Police said Lopez was transported by personnel from the Lehighton Ambulance Association to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

Police said Lopez was driving a 2018 Honda Civic north when it hit a concrete barrier to the left of the road.

The car was towed.

• Robert A. Cameron, 62, of Newark, Delaware, was cited after a one-vehicle crash at 11:37 a.m. April 5 on the Route 903 ramp in Penn Forest Township, police said. He was uninjured in the incident.

Police said he was operating a 2011 Cadillac CTS northbound when he was distracted by looking at his cellphone. The car hit a guide rail off the right side of the ramp.

The Cadillac was towed.

• A 2022 Honda Odyssey had moderate damage after an incident at 4:01 p.m. March 21 at mile marker 87 in Penn Forest Township.

Police said the minivan was southbound when an unknown object fell off a 2020 Ram 5500 in front of it and the Odyssey struck the object.

Neither driver was identified by police.
