State police at the Pocono barracks reported the following accidents that happened on the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike:
• Katelyn E. Gierszal, 25, of Larksville, was cited for driving on roadways laned for traffic after a one-vehicle mishap at 3:20 p.m. Saturday at mile marker 81.3 in Penn Forest Township. No one was injured in the incident.
Police said she was driving a 2015 Cadillac when she lost control of it while changing lanes. The car exited the road, traveled onto the west berm and struck a guard rail.
It sustained disabling damages.
• One person was hurt in a one-vehicle crash at 5:10 p.m. Saturday at mile marker 89.8 in Kidder Township.
Police said Christy L. Cragle, 57, of Wapwallopen, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was transported by personnel from the Lehighton Ambulance Association to the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre.
They said the crash happened when Kathy L. Joline, 55, of Berwick, was operating a 2014 Ford Taurus during heavy rain and she lost control of the vehicle. It struck an embankment along the east berm before overturning onto its roof.
The car sustained disabling damages.
