Schuylkill Technology Center will host its fifth annual SkillsUSA Signing Day Event in cooperation the national SkillsUSA event at 9:30 a.m. Thursday from the center’s North Campus in Frackville.

The event is designed to recognize the commitment of the Class of 2026 to enter into an employment agreement in their field of study or enroll in postsecondary technical training or a branch of the military.

On hand will be Robert Carl, Schuylkill Chamber of Commerce; Gary Hess, Barron “Boots” Hetherington and Larry Padora, Schuylkill County commissioners; state Reps. Tim Twardzik, Joann Stehr, Dane Watro and Jamie Barton; state Sen. David Argall; and Sabrina McLaughlin-Willinsky from the office of U.S. Sen. John Fetterman.

Center skills officers Ava Vengen and Kaylee Kohr will also address the audience.

The event will also include recognition of students and employers who participated in the Cooperative Education Program.
