The Sixth Grade Odyssey of the Mind Pest Aside team at the Lehighton Area Middle School is headed to the O.M. World Finals next month.

Casey Bachert, Chelsea Kemmerer, Christi Bottcher, Drewann Ecman, Katie Semanoff, Kayla Reabold and Sarah Troxell are polishing their act and checking contraptions to make sure they are ready for another big win.

The girls copped second place in the state competition which gave them the opportunity to compete in the world competition.

They will travel to the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, in June for the competition.

The team’s adviser, Lou Williams, said the girls will present a skit that shows three contraptions which lead a caterpillar test, using revenge along with pesticide to show humans prevail in the end.
