The Carbon County America250 organization will hold a countywide meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Jacob’s Weissport Historical Society, 138 Franklin St., Weissport.

The agenda will include announcement of the essay and poster contests, the chance to sign a copy of the Declaration of Independence that will be handed out at the Weissport Fourth of July parade, planning of the America’s Potluck Dinner, and more.

Anyone interested in helping in any way to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary is invited to the meeting.
