A New Ringgold man is in the Sussex Correctional Institution in Delaware, facing illegal firearms possession charges and other offenses following a road rage incident last week in that state.
Jeffrey Neifert, 38, is being held in lieu of $78,000 bail following the incident in Felton.
Delaware State Police said they were dispatched in Kent County last Monday at 9:40 a.m. for an incident involving a pickup driver with a firearm on South Dupont Highway, near Killens Pond Road.
A trooper patrolling the area saw a truck matching the description and conducted a traffic stop, later identifying Neifert.
During the investigation, the trooper recovered a switchblade from Neifert and a loaded handgun from inside the vehicle.
Police said their investigation determined Neifert was traveling on South Dupont Highway, near Irish Hill Road, when he displayed a handgun during a confrontation with another driver.
Police said he was arraigned on charges of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, carrying a concealed deadly weapon and aggravated menacing.
