The Carbon County commissioners approved the following items during their meeting last week:
• A request from the director of planning and development to reject all bids opened on March 19 for a Community Development Block Grant project in Packer Township. The reason was due to funding.
• A quote from Johnson Controls Fire Protection LP to replace an access control door panel at the Communications/911 office at a cost of $10,921.30.
• A proposal with Miracle Ford of Tamaqua to install a Whelen warning lighting product, center console and reflective graphics on a 2019 police interceptor for the coroner’s office at a cost of $8,379.
• A work order from Security Access Etc. of Lititz to repair the gate to the sallyport at the courthouse at a total cost of $1,342.34.
• A request from Family Promise of Carbon County for $50,000 of the attorney general’s settlement funds to help fund services for those at the shelter who are affected by opioid use disorder, meals, job training, housing assistance and other services.
• An agreement with Franklin Township Volunteer Fire Company to use the facility and for catering services for a senior workshop hosted by LINK at 9:30 a.m. on June 23. The cost is $17 per person with a facility rental fee of $300 plus $100 cleaning fee.
• Resolutions honoring Ethan Darraugh of Boy Scout Troop 25 of White Haven and Ethan Seidel of Boy Scout Troop 209 of Towamensing Township for attaining the rank of Eagle Scout.
