Panther Blueprint postpones cleanup day

The Panther Valley Blueprint Community’s Four Borough Community Roadside Clean-Up Day planned for Saturday has been postponed until May 2 due to weather.

People who signed up to participate should have been notified via email about the date change and are asked to confirm their availability for next Saturday.

Anyone who was unable to participate this Saturday but are available to help with the roadside cleanup on May 2 starting at 9 a.m. are encouraged to reach out at Contact@PVBlueprint.org.

Volunteers from Nesquehoning, Lansford, Summit Hill and Coaldale will join together and focus their efforts along Routes 209 and 902 in the four boroughs to beautify the community. Each of the borough offices had registration forms for interested volunteers.

The Blueprint team is coordinating with the state Department of Transportation, and safety guidance, trash bags, grabbers, vests, gloves and transportation to and from the designated cleanup sites will be provided.

As a thank you, lunch will be provided to volunteers after the cleanup at the Panther Valley Intermediate School. There will also be free hats and shirts, while supplies last.
