State police at Lehighton

State police at the Lehighton barracks reported the following incidents:

• Police were called to an unauthorized use of a motor vehicle complaint at a property on Vista Court, Towamensing Township.

They said a 59-year-old Palmerton woman told them a suspect left her property in her 2010 Nissan Versa without having consent to do so.

The incident occurred between 4:30 and 10:27 p.m. April 9.

• Police said a 70-year-old man from Kunkletown who was involved in a physical altercation with another resident declined prosecution after the incident at 9 p.m. April 7.

It occurred on Scenic Drive, Polk Township. Police said the complainant reported the altercation, after which police said the alleged victim refused to cooperate.

• A 46-year-old Slatington man is facing drug possession charges after police made a traffic stop at 12:55 p.m. April 3.

He was stopped in a 2017 Audi A4 at the intersection of Route 248 and State Road and Parryville, after which police found him to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana.

• A 32-year-old woman from Kunkletown is the victim of a theft by deception/impersonation incident police were called to at noon April 2 on Garden Grove Lane, Eldred Township.

She went to the barracks to report her signature was forged on American Kennel Club paperwork without her consent.

• Christopher Escarfullett, 30, of Kunkletown, is facing charges of access device fraud after police were called to a theft by deception/credit-ATM card incident at 11:28 a.m. March 23 on Twin Flower Circle, Towamensing Township.

Police said a 27-year-old woman from Kunkletown told them Escarfullett, who she said is her ex-partner, fraudulently used her credit card, charging $191.71.

• Police said they were called to a theft of or mislaid property incident at 7:45 p.m. March 22 at the BZ Gee gas station, 709 Lincoln Avenue, Bowmanstown.

A 28-year-old man from Palmerton told police that he mistakenly left his cellphone in the store while checking out, and when he returned to the store the phone was gone.

The phone, a Galaxy S23 in a black OtterBox case, is valued at $1,100, police said.
