Before the monthly meeting began, Supervisor Janet Sheats made a motion to amend the agenda to allow resident Bill Weaver to speak. The motion passed.
Weaver thanked township police for their assistance following a crash.
“I had a car accident on March 24th. Your police department, Chief Henry and Officer Elias Batihk went up and beyond,” Weaver told the board. “I was taken to the hospital by ambulance, and the officers took care of my family and made sure they got home.
“They went way past anything you can imagine. Thank you so very much.”
Police Chief John Henry responded simply, “Thank you!
