The annual District 5 CYO Art/Craft/Photography Competition was held April 11th and 12th in the parish hall at Ss Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Lehighton. Students from Ss Peter & Paul parish; St. Jerome Regional School, Tamaqua; and St. John Neumann Regional School, Palmerton participated.

There were 85 entries in the divisions for art, crafts, and photography, for Kindergarten, Grades 1 and 2, Grades 3 and 4, Grades 5 and 6, and Grades 7 and 8.

Winners were:

• Art Division, Kindergarten, Kannon Kelly of St. Jerome came in first, and Zoe Hancock from St. John Neumann was second.

In Art Division Grades 1 and 2, first and second prizes went to Elizabeth Graver of Ss Peter & Paul, and third prize went to Alva Skinner from St. Jerome.

• Art Divison Grades 3 and 4: first place, Cody Morris, St. Jerome; second place, Jaxon Green, St. Jerome; and third place, Luke Keer, Ss Peter & Paul/St. John Neumann.

• Art Division Grades 5 and 6: First place, Jackson Amorim; Second place, Mason Cuyler; third place, Kira Ducati. All were from St. John Neumann.

• Art Division Grades 7 and 8: first place, Avery Fuhs, St. Jerome; second place, Brandon Collado, St. John Neumann; and Third Place, Brianna Heater, St. Jerome.

• Craft Division, Kindergarten: first place, Ella Saunders, St. John Neumann.

• Craft Division, Grades 1 and 2: first Place: Ava Woodring; second place, Nora O’Grodnick; third Place, Erin O’Gorman. All were from St. Jerome Regional School.

• Photography division, Grades 7 and 8: first place, Nic Keer, Ss Peter & Paul/St. John Neumann.

This year there was a Pre-Kindergarten Division.

• In the Art Division, First place went to Grayson Lantigua, St. John Neumann; second place to Francis Buccieri, St. Jerome; and third place, Nathan McGreary, St. John Neumann.

• In the Pre-K Craft Division, Grayson Lantigua won first and second place, and Ashlynn Harris, St. John Neumann, came in third place.
